Direct Invoice Home Care Program

Quality Home Health Care Tailored to You

Quality home health care tailored to you.

If you’re an Albertan who needs a quality home care provider, then look no further than Infinity Healthcare Ltd. We are an Edmonton-based healthcare provider that offers home healthcare, dementia care, and companion care services.

Home care assistance from Infinity Healthcare is so much more than medication and personal care assistance. A wide range of care is available, including help with home exercises, light housecleaning, or even respite care. Our mission is to empower people to maintain an independent lifestyle and age in place with dignity.

You can get home care services from Infinity Healthcare – at no cost to you – through the Direct Invoice Program.

Your care. Your choice.

You don’t have to settle for mediocre (or worse) home care. The Direct Invoice Program allows you to choose a quality private home healthcare provider like Infinity Healthcare to deliver the home care you need at no cost to you.
Offered through Alberta Health Services (AHS), this Client Directed Health Care Invoicing program (CDHCI) empowers families to manage their own home care program by choosing their provider and the specific services they need.
At Infinity Healthcare, we believe that everyone deserves to live their best life, and we put our clients first. It is our privilege to support our clients and ensure they receive top-quality home care services.

Who’s eligible?

At Infinity Healthcare, our mission is to empower people to maintain an independent lifestyle and age in place with dignity. Based in Edmonton, Alberta, we provide home health care, dementia care, and companion care services. We believe that everyone deserves to live their best life, and it is our privilege to support our clients in reaching their goals.
To receive home care services, you must:
  • live in Alberta and have a valid health care card;
  • reside in a home that is not in a congregate setting (those living in an assisted living or long-term care settings do not qualify for home care services); and
  • meet the requirements determined by an AHS case manager.

Benefits

Besides the unparalleled care and personalized attention you receive from Infinity Healthcare, there are many other benefits to choosing us through the Direct Home Care Program, including:
Self-managed flexibility and staff direction, including enhanced services that can be topped up from existing services.
Linguistic and cultural support from care providers who speak your language and are familiar with your cultural practices.
Direct Billing<br />
Direct billing from us straight to AHS that means it’s one less thing you must do.

How it works.

You’re in control of who cares for you but you don’t have to worry about invoices and payments. Once approved to use the Direct Home Care Program, Infinity Healthcare will direct bill AHS for their services. For approved hours we match the AHS hourly rate.
There is no need to invoice Infinity Healthcare, or manage records for regular audits by AHS, like the Self-Managed Care program. You will only be billed if you choose to add more hours of care than what you are approved for.

Frequently asked questions

I live in private assisted living. Can I use this program?

Unfortunately, no. This program is not available to anyone living in a congregate setting (i.e. lodge, private assisted/supportive living, or group home)

What is covered?

Home care assistance is so much more than medication and personal care assistance. A wide range of care is available, including:

  • Personal care assistance includes assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, toileting, mobilization and transferring, home exercises, nutrition, medication assistance, and respiratory care.
  • Light Housework such as cleaning bathrooms, washing dishes, cleaning mobility equipment, laundry, vacuuming floors, and removing garbage.
  • Respite Care includes day, evening, or night care to give unpaid caregivers (typically family) a break.

Can I use the funds I am approved for towards other costs such as equipment or supplies?

The funding provided is for professional services only. Any other costs such as equipment, supplies, or alternative therapies are not eligible expenses.

I will have hours left over at the end of the month. Can I use them next month?

The approved hours are set on an average number of days per month, and any remaining hours after the last day of the month may not be used in the following month.
